Chemistry postgraduate won the best oral presentation award at PACCON 2018

On 7-9 February 2018, Chemistry postgraduate student, Mrs.Sharon Espiritu Lazaro gave an oral presentation in the title ‘Iron(III) spin crossover nanoparticles with abrupt transitions’ at The Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2018 (PACCON 2018). Also won the best oral presentation and received an award from Prof. Dr. Sir. J. Fraser Stoddart who is the Noble prize winner in 2016 from Northwestern University, USA. The advisors on this research are Assoc. Prof. Dr. David J. Harding and Assist. Prof. Dr. Phimphaka Harding, the project has been funding by Thailand Research Fund and partial funding by Walailak University.

Furthermore, other chemistry postgraduate and undergraduate students also presented their work both in oral and poster presentation as following lists: 1. Mr.Napat Kongtaworn, postgraduate students from the chemistry department, gave an oral presentation in title ‘Molecular assembly of possible structures of 50% galactose-removed tamarind seed xyloglucan in aqueous solution’ and the advisor is Assist. Ms.Natta Jaikrajang, postgraduate students from the chemistry department, gave poster presentation in title ‘Green chemistry approach: flow-based system and bioreagent for water quality control’ and the advisor is Assist. Prof. Dr. Parawee Ratanakit 3. Mr.Sanhanut Kesornsit, undergraduate students from the chemistry department, gave poster presentation in title ‘Preparation and characterization of the PDA coated silk yarn’ and the advisor is Assist. Prof. Dr. Montra Chairat. 4. Ms.Aunlika Chimprasit, undergraduate students from the chemistry department, gave poster presentation in title ‘Adsorption kinetics of lac dye on silk yarn coated with microcrystalline chitosan’ and the advisor is Assist. Prof. Dr. Montra Chairat. 5. Ms.Duangruedee Khwannimit, undergraduate students from the chemistry department, gave poster presentation in title ‘Colorimetric detection of Cu(II) using biologically green synthesized silver nanoparticles from butterfly pea extract’ and the advisor is Assist. Prof. Dr. Parawee Ratanakit 6. Ms.Peeranuch Poungsripong, undergraduate students from the chemistry department, gave poster presentation in title ‘Self-assembled Iron(III) spin crossover materials and films’ and the advisors are Assist. Prof. Dr. Phimphaka Harding and Assoc. Prof. Dr. David J. Harding 7. Ms.Kanokwan Thitinanthavet, undergraduate students from the chemistry department, gave poster presentation in title ‘Structure of an Indigo/6-Hydroxypropyl-ß-Cyclodextrin inclusion complex in aqueous solution and its binding free energy’ and the advisor is Assist. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Dokmaisrijan 8. Ms.Thadsanee Kedkham, undergraduate students from the chemistry department, gave poster presentation in title ‘Structural and energetic properties of an Indigo/2-Hydroxypropyl-ß-Cyclodextrin inclusion complex in aqueous solution’ and the advisor is Assist. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Dokmaisrijan 9. Ms.Surisa Sa-nguanprang, undergraduate students from the chemistry department, gave poster presentation in title ‘The theoretical study of the deprotonation pathway of 6-OHDA in aqueous solution’ and the advisor is Assist. Prof. Dr. Apirak Payaka
